A Cross Too Near
(An Easter Passion Play)
What do a Roman soldier, a criminal, and a blind girl have in common? They're all trying to survive in Jerusalem, a city that is home to generations of displaced Jews being ruled by greed and social class. Hundreds are being crucified daily at the hands of their Roman oppressors, striking fear into every heart.
A carpenter's son from Galilee with twelve loyal followers brings the message of hope into the city as he claims to be the Messiah, the long awaited chosen one, who will set God's people free. Worlds collide, hearts are broken, and ultimate choices are made as each one must face the true meaning of a cross too near.
